My experiences as a Special Education teacher inspired me to continue my education by pursuing a M.Ed. in Learning Design and Technologies. Throughout my portfolio, you will find an assortment of projects that represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities I have gained and improved upon throughout my time in the Learning Design and Technologies master's program at the University of South Carolina.
As a Special Educator, I have created instruction by adapting the general education curriculum to meet the diverse needs of my students with disabilities and providing individualized support. Throughout my 8+ years experience, I have witnessed issues surrounding proper implementation of technological resources in instruction to serve individuals with special needs. My experiences provided me with a wide range of perspectives, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills related to instructional design and educational technology.
Upon completion of the Learning Design and Technologies master's program, I plan to work towards achieving my aspirations of becoming an Instructional Designer. My main goal is to enhance the learning experiences of students with special needs through development, design, and facilitating proper implementation of instructional technology.
